Extra help, in the form of lunch band tutorials, as well as some tutorials before, and after the school day, are staffed by the Townsend Harris
Science Faculty and open to students in all Science classes. The schedule of lunch band tutorials is posted outside the Science Department Office, Room 639. If you are encountering any difficulties in class, speak with your Science Teacher, or stop by the Science Office.
Additionally, NYSSHS members provide peer tutoring and student teachers are available at a
variety of times for assistance.

Lunch band tutorials are provided Monday through Thursday in the Science Office, Room 639 by Queens College Science majors. While help is available during each lunch period, in all subjects (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), they may not be available each day of the week.

Additional assistance may be found at the homeworkNYC.org website provided by the NYC Public Libraries. The site promises help with any subject in the school curriculum, offers one-on-one live help by phone or online from librarians, teachers and professional tutors, and quick answers to questions from encyclopedias and dictionaries.
Use the password homework to gain access to databases from NOVEL, the NY Online Virtual Electronic Library, including The New York Times and other national newspapers and magazines.
With a NYC library card you can access more databases, thousands of articles, and books online.
The site offers online study guides and textbooks, other information.
