Regents Chemistry is a one-year course designed to provide a modern view of Chemistry. The topics covered provide the unifying principles of Chemistry and a basic understanding of our environment.

It is recommended that strong Chemistry students who will not be continuing on in their study of Chemistry take the SAT II in early June. The Department offers review classes to assist students in preparing for this exam.

This one-year course terminates in a mandatory Regents Examination. Students must satisfy the New York State Regents Laboratory Requirement to be eligible to take the Regents exam. Biology classes meet six periods a week, once per per week before or after (0 or 10th period) the school day.
